  You really have to try though.  At least on my Jetta, Dad's pu too.  I've 
turned the cone to near max on at least one of them and the Jetta only smokes 

on hard acceleration when cold.  It maxes out at about 1000F post turbine 
and we have Dad's pickup set up to about 1150F post.  Try to keep it below 
1000 to 1100 though.  Now you start messing with the fuel volume screw 
and you can crank the temps up REAL FAST!  :o
