[Vwdiesel] 91' Turbo Diesel Jetta

The Rabbit is working and I am looking for another project.   I am
thinking of looking for a newer Jetta or Golf that has potential
(reasonable body and fried engine).

I was walking around the other day and along came a woman in a red
Jetta diesel.  I got her to pull over and talk to me.  She said that
it was a 91'.  The engine looks like a 1.6 liter but with a
turbocharger.

I don't know exactly what years Volkswagen imported diesels into the
United States.  What were the desirable years?  What are the problems
with something like that 91'.
