Nate great instructions...damn...wish I had those last weekend..... 

Would have saved me taking the flange off. Bentley calls that seal a
dust cap, thats what confused me. 

Hagar, even though the tranny was not dry, with about 500ml or more fluid in 
the cv boot, it was definately low. It destroyed the cv joint. 

After chatting with Sandy Cameron, Im kinda worried that I have a problem 
causing this seal to be destroyed. Specifically, incorrect front end 
geometry. The car was in an accident on the drivers front corner. It has 
been aligned since, but maybe the geometry has changed slightly. 

I had already removed the flange and the final drive seal. I thought that 
that was the problem. I made a homemade tool to compress the spring....yes 
it will be a pain in the ass getting the cclip back on. 

Nate, I was lucky. The flange is in great shape. No groove. Seal went on 
nicely. 

Only thing bothering me is that I think this is a patch, not a solution....
