Makes sense I suppose... This could explain why another eBay item I saw mentioned a 
"new" crank with undersize mains and standard rod journals. I suppose if a crank failed 
a quality test on the line, they could regrind it and send to rebuilt plants. Either that or 
the guy is full of it...

For $160 US, it seems like a good deal (aren't the pistons & rings worth about that?), 
except you need to find an 80mm crank. Or are there other options?
