The perfection of Germans in 1942 in machinery ---in no way can be
understood by my American friends from that time.

Documentation was impressive----- I have a transmitter here made in Germany
1942    Telefunken           Every part is numbered and all values are to be found
in parts list.

All capacitaters are Ceramic or mica etc.   NO paper shit.

That mentality took over the VW plants after 1945. ------- so a lot of color dots and
stripes are to be found on castings and forgings etc   as temporary identification.

To find old brand new 1.5L blocks on surplus market is likely.    -----the rebuild
systems had to be PRIMED ---since used engines were not available. .More on
that some other time.

The prices on that site are something  ---a new airhead for about 1600 US ?
Where are all to parts located right now ?  anyone know.- oh yes Wisconsin.

PS : Buyer beware   --- about the green stripe ---- seller does not know.--NO crank or camshaft.
 by the way .    Stripe may indicate that pistons and rings were fittet.
