[Vwdiesel] Storing injection pump

My 1.6TD rebuild could take a while, and the injection pump is already filled 
with 18 month old diesel (which seemed to run fine btw). However, in the 
event this project take longer that it should (don't they always), should I flush 
or somehow fill the pump with something better than stale diesel fuel?
