  Moisture/humidity seems to be the real problem.  It's dry here and I've 
parked diesels for long periods with no problems other than the pos 
GM filter risting inside PAST the filter media on my 6.2.  When I was 
visiting in TX though.  Let one sit more than a few months and it was 
about time to send it in for a complete disassembly and cleaning!
