[Vwdiesel] Snobbery and Car Fixing

I'm not trying to brag. But I just don't see self-sufficiency in today's
youth.


  Amen to that!  Too many have the "I deserve..." attitude and either the 
government or mom and dad are supposed to give it to them.  I catch 
myself leaning toward those notions now and then.  Something in the 
society we were raised in.  
  I grew up on an orchard a mile or so from not much of a town in an 
area where income levels never have been very high.  I learned to do 
most everything myself.  Pick a few brains and have at it.  Too many 
attitudes from the people that did things for way more than I could 
afford helped steer me that way.  I finally (yeah, in my teens) decided 
that if someone else could do it, if I was physically capable, I could 
do it too.  Got me through carburetors and transmissions!  Two of 
the bigger automotive struggles for me to first tackle.
