I've been running RB 276 in cars with both the York and the rotary with just 
about equal success, although the recip pumps seem to do better, I think it's 
because they are an inherenly stronger pump, albeit not as smooth.  I'm sure 
it would work fine in the VW system.  Good luck, Doug.
