[Vwdiesel] Questions WA state list members

I am considering bidding on an Ebay van in Everett, WA. In speaking with 
ICBC about registering it to drive home, they say I need to get a permit in WA 
to get it to the border, then get a BC permit. How difficult is it to get a permit 
in WA state, and can this be done on a weekend? Is anyone familiar with 
bringing a US van to Canada? I don't necessarily plan to register, as I really 
only want it for parts, so I don't care too much beyond getting it on the 
Anacortes ferry...
