Scott Kair and all : Higher cetane number does result in higher milage
in many cases. Especially with crappy 40 cetane fuel. Here is my take
on that one. The specific energy may be the same , but with high cetane
number a lot of smoke is converted to miles.
Lower cetane is lower energy content and thus lower economy.
Hagar.
PS:
speed-thus yielding the same mileage? Or is the pump timing somehow the secret,
or--------am I chasing my tail here???
Pump timing is IT.
