it's octane booster only. i know perfomance car guys who SWEAR by and ONLY it.
porsche and audi folks mostly. 
they add a gallon or two to 92 premium to get poor mans racing gas (me thinks
hagar will have fun with this one). 
they feel better rolling their own over being sold some snake oil or unknown
fuel. 

it's something like 1:14 or 1:7 by volume. 

iirc, F-1 cars use racing gas that is mostly toluene with anther 'inert'
hydrocarbon as a filler to make up the volume. heptane?
