The key word is "calculated"
I set the pump and cam as accurately as possible for TDC, marked the FW with
yellow paint.
Then I counted the number of teeth on the pump sprocket (44) and divided
that in to 360.
I then searched for the true timing mark and centered it at the pointer, and
counted how many teeth (and fractions thereof) the sprocket had moved. (the
result has to be divided by 2, as the engine makes 2 revolutions for each
one of the sprocket.
I admit there is some ambiguity in interpreting the actual degrees rotation
because the count is eyeball, and not accurate to a degree.
Only dividing the sprocket into 360 actuall degrees would increase the accuracy
The decimal figure was invented by the 4 function calculator I used to
crunch the numbers,
Your results may vary.
Bottom line?
My flywheel has been installed incorrectly, but now has a workable TDC mark,
accurate to much less than one timing belt tooth space..
