Absolutely! Had a friend who got annoyed when the
light would come one, so she just put her purse in
front of it!! :) That engine lasted longer than you'd
expect, but it still wasn't very long...

I really don't have any emotional attachment to my
idea of it being the oil cooler, and am not about to
argue against the head gasket idea. (Tho I've never
personally seen oil get into the coolant from a head
gasket. It's always been water into the oil or burned
in the cylinders.) As far is not likely being the oil
cooler - maybe I've just got rotton luck, which
wouldn't surprise me :) - but I've had two of the
stupid things fail on me. I hate them and the nasty
mess they make!
As far as making up a T - definitely DON'T use the old
hose that just split! If you don't want to cough up
the money for the factory hose at least spring for new
hose that's the right size to make up into a
replacement.
