[Vwdiesel] Oil in coolant and warped heads...

Thanks guys... Well the oil cooler is so easy to get at maybe I'll check
that first...
The oil light went out after the first km... (sometimes happens during the
winter 'cos of oil thickening, so get a bit used to it) and when the
temperature warning light came on we stopped straight away... so maybe we
got away with it... (head warping)

Maybe I will do a temporary repair to compression test it... it has to be
warm right? No point in ripping it apart and not doing everything right...
And a couple of questions... what is a leak down test?
also "mount an oil pressure gauge at the head port" What and where is that?

The top hose is 140 euros from the dealer...
Well, that is about half of what I ended up paying for the van over 2 years
ago...
I just can't do it... (or afford it)

(Original price was €850 (a steal) and then 4 days after we bought it
someone drove smack into the back of us (no-one hurt) and mashed the bumper
and exhaust mounts. Got €650 from his insurance... You should have seen the
state of his Peugeot... I was so pleased with our VW... not even whiplash...
€10 for mounts, a bit of bumper beating, a spot of welding and as good as
new)

As always, I am eternally indebted to you all and will go forth and
persevere as soon as I find a bit of cover...
