[Vwdiesel] 1.6L cold start-idle speed?

The later pumps had a two stage cold start - 1st stage is timing advance, 2nd stage 
is an idle boost of a few 100 rpm. The early pumps were just the advance only. You 
can actually feel the 2nd stage in the later pumps - a slight "detent" when pulling it 
out. Both my 1.6NA '85s have the single stage, my later TD engine has the 2 stage. 
I'm not sure when the change occurred, probably '87 or so.
