  Pull the fuel return banjo bolt and fill the pump with diesel and try it. 
 Should fire in a dozen or so revolutions.  If it's really being difficult 
it'll speed things up to put some air pressure to the fuel tank and 
pull the return as well as supply banjos until fuel comes out each 
then reconnect to a full pump.
