[Vwdiesel] Brake SNAFU

Seems the general consensus is a bad brake booster. Sounds about like my
luck seeing how it's the most expensive part of the brake system. Cheapest
I've found so far is $242 at Impex.

Also, to answer another question, I have no idea how long it's been since
the brake fluid has been changed, if ever at all. This month I've owned the
car for two years. The fluid is a dark brown in color, like coffee. No
doubt it's contaminated.

Looks like I'll be doing some major brake work soon. Think I should replace
the booster and master cylinder as one unit? Would probably be a good idea.
Might even replace the brake pressure regulator as well. Could it be
damaged by contaminated fluid? Where exactly is it located?

Thanks for the help everybody. }:o)
