[Vwdiesel] Brake Fluid - Does it have an expiration date?

I found two liters of ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid (DOT 4) that I had
bought for my previous 1996 Golf.  Both cans are unopened, and I've had them
for at least 3 years, maybe even 4.  Would this fluid still be safe to use?
