IMHO  --- both are very important in this forum.

I have only met one person face to face from this group ---but is was a very
happy situation. Gavrik Peterson dropped in for a couple of days . Real neat
cool guy. Makes me think that Loren should get going on Dieselfest NW  for next
year.     Gavrik selected to sleep on the floor in the master bedroom (not in use)---
I offered him my big real brass bed ---he declined.
Remember  "Lay lady lay in my big brass bed" ?    Joe Ralkowski from Bremerton used to
own that. 
IMHO ?  ---USA biggest mistake ?  not going METRIC:    ---- Canada's biggest mistake ?
NOT going ALL the way.   

Joe died in a crash (airplane)  like lots of my friends.

For the newbies I am 72 and I grew up in Denmark before metrics were made mandatory.
so I had to face  a lot of garbage like R , F , and C in temperature and on and on in
distance and weights and so on.  A nightmare.  Go west young man ? yes and go METRIC.

By the way I had a ride in Gavrik Peterson's Rabbit--- and I know what he paid for it ---stack
his Rabbit up against a 22 000 dollar Prius and the Rabbit will blow the Prius off the road.

SNAFU ?   yes we can learn from that ---- at least I do.    why shit we better.

If you never did a SNAFU ---?    I would rather that I never meet you.  SORRY.

Like Loren when I do a real SNAFU ?   do I curse? NO I laugh like some crazy
house inmate.   Did I do some major ones ?   --absolutely --ask the Doctor and
the Nurses.------but I managed to get the bone pieces in place before the shock wore off.
so my nose is still fairly straight.

Amerika go Metric before it is too late -----BUSH are you listening ? you better.

Metric is not right --that is only the meter ---there is more to it decimal system etc.

UK and USA and Canada ----IMHO are stupid.   The Swedes were smart they changed
in good time drive on the right RIGHT side of the road    The UK ? stupid.

The world standard is ---drive on the right side of the road---- Rule of the road for
aircraft's and ships ----- with few exceptions  -- i.e. Soaring planes on a mountain side.
 Ah I am rambling again.

PS:  Rule of the road ?   head on you move to the right --NOT to the left.
When I told Lenora about Gavrik ?--- sure as hell she wanted to meet him --but
she was in Banff at the time        .SNAFU = Situation Normal, All Fouled Up
