[Vwdiesel] Off-topic metric vs imperial

  I tend to like it the way things are here.  But of course that's what I 
grew up 
with.  Many things are here or there, liter-gallon, km-mile but cups-ml  or 
fractional liter, dunno.  Just doesn't seem as simple.  For everyday, muncane 

things use what works.  It's all relative anyway.  It's GREAT to know metric 
though as calculations and conversions are MUCH easier.  I'll often 
calculate in metric and then convert to english for the answer. Kind of 
like translating into Spanish to figure out the parts of speech for English!
