Val Christian and ALL :      WHY ?   did they not use Emery in the old days ?


Has to do with magnetism ----    I am going to try to smoke out Doyt Echelberger 
I know he knows the definition of Emery  ---and what it is.

On Electric's use  non magnetic abrasives.   I know that Emery and Black sands are related
and I know first hand that black sand is magnetic ---it is Iron and it does NOT rust.
And this Cardboard box(house) sits on a pile of it.    Looks a lot like gunpowder granular.(black).

But relax ---as far as I know it is NO longer used as an abrasive on papers.
