The VW wheels have a 38 MM offset while the Miata wheels have a 45MM offset.  The bolt circle is the same on both wheels.  Just tried to fit a Miata wheel on the Rabbit PU.  The center section on the Miata wheel is too small to pass over the VW Hub.  It is very close but just too small.  Do I dare enlarge the center section on the Miata wheels so that it will slip over?
