[Vwdiesel] Re-ringing a Rabbit --(the Wineland way )

Bart Wineland  -----  sit back and Relax have a glass of Wine.

If you think Loren or the rest of us are going to let you slip out the back door
without that  engine --just a hummin ?     NOT a chance.

The spirit ?   ---you do not think it counts ?   ---the right mindset is more important
than ten years of diesel school. (more on that some other time )

Lets recap --- this is not your only wheel ?  --RIGHT ?

Good ----The engine is a 1.6 L NA VW   give us the specks again.(and letter)

First and foremost ---did you do the feeler test on piston # 1. ?

Second   did you line up ALL the marks ?   ----- ALL THE MARKS.

There are 6 teeth between pump keyway and timing mark on sprocket
to the left .     Make sure keyway is intact.

Do NOT use dial indicator for this test. ---ONLY timing marks.

Make sure you have the special wrenches (home made DIY stuff) for adjusting
fueling screw and idle screw.

Why NOT use dial ?  I shall explain later. ------Get her running good and let us know.

After she runs good we will give her the no smoke job.And peptalk.

20 years old and getting 78 miles to a gallon Imp.   And a lot of the credit goes to this
place. -----would I ever give up ?  ---NOT a chance.    You shall see-- the more
hardship to get there the sweeter the Winegrapes.----Besides you will have some
good beerparlour story.
