I still maintain, counter to what Hagar claims, that once you press them
out they are destroyed. Once they start making noise, they're toast, anyway.
Just as easy to put new ones in if you're that far in, IMHO.

big yes. You don't screw with front bearings. Removal with a press against
the inner race with the rolling elements putting force against the outer
race once, and it's brinelled, and WILL fail. Accidents are caused by front
bearings going south in a hurry and pulling the vehicle out of control. It
happens... and did to my Dad's buddy. They peeled him off a bridge.
