Oh, you mentioned using diamond dust inplace of bon-ami to seat rings. One
problem with this as I see it. The diamond dust charges the piston like you
would an aluminum lap, then continues to cut for the drastically reduced
life of the engine. They just don't go away or wear out like other
abrasives. Wonder what shape the bore would be when it was all done? Egg?
Perfect oval? :)

Yes we ALL need to know about abrasives--------- so Doyt Echelberger wrote
a
superb piece about abrasives---and I tried to post it here.
It was considered too big by Dans so it may or may not show up.
Nothing but NOTHING is more interesting to me than the DIAMOND ---NOTHING.
And that mineral is by far the best abrasive of all time. Jewelers Rouge ?
great
stuff.
Hagar.
PS : Doyt Echelberger . Your submission was great.
Diamonds have it every time. No Rabbit without Diamonds in the tool shop.
that is where ACCURACY comes from.
Diamonds are here in Hagars toolbox ----BLACK ones ---yes. And man do they
do a job
or what ?.
