Since the oil pressure is going away as soon as it warms up I'd start looking in areas where a
temp. can open up an oil passage.  I'd start with the head.  You said in an earlier post that you
didn't get as much torque as is called out for and you might have an oil leak there also.
Aluminum head has a different rate of expansion then cast iron so as it warms up the head is going
to try to expand more then the block.  This could be opening up just enough of an oil passage to
cause a problem.  Did you check the head for flatness?  If you broke a ring or bent a valve bad
enough to be dumping oil pressure you wouldn't be guessing if that was the problem.  A word of
caution, I was involved with the repair of an O-470 in a Cessna 180 that was having problems
running after a "top" overhaul.  By the time we got the airplane the cylinders were so badly
glazed from running at idle power settings that we had to remove them and rehone them.  If it
isn't broke in be careful how much time is spent at idle.
