Did the intermediate shaft bearings get changed? -both?)
my neighbour had a machine shop rebuild his 1.9 td and they didn't change
them, exactly the same situation, lots of cold oil pressure, non when hot,
he lost his turbo very soon afterwards...
It took three times for them to figure it out (re and re engine). They would
not admit to it being there mistake. They kept saying they installed a new
oil pump, sure it was new but no markings on it (was it meant for a turbo
diesel?) as they are larger pumps.
I don't think your head can cause low oil pressure like that UNLESS you
changed the camshaft and the bearings don't match-the cams are not
interchangable without a line boring to match them.
Most machine shops that are not familar with VW never know about those two
bearings inside there.
Check over your bills and see if they were done
