Oh no. Replace camshaft? Yes I did, line bore? No I didn't. The guy that
rebuilt it originally 25k miles ago broke away the cam slot where the lock
plate goes. I took the cam from my original low mileage 69k engine and
thought it fit just perfect and thought myself pretty handy. I did measure
the journals as careful as I could with mics. and they appeared identical
but sounds like it is not that simple? I re-used the bearing caps that were
in it. I think I am taking my lumps for being a bonehead.
