Are you using a fuel treatment? The first 1.5 in my 79 rabbit would do this if I
was using power service fuel additive. Howes, dextron atf, or straight fuel
didn't cause this problem. Even mixing in a little jet a wasn't a problem.
Seemed with power service additive that about 1/2 way thru a quart bottle it would
start hanging up at high idle and then slowly return to low idle. Stopped using
it and the problem would go away. Tried it a couple of different times, same
results.Justin
