[Vwdiesel] Pump Pressure Problem Persists

  One thing here.  From my experiences with the GM Roosamaster (?),
the higher the pump pressure the lower the amount of fuel injected.  
Plug the return and it'll stall out.  Lower the pressure and fueling goes 
up, much like turning the fuel delivery screw.  That would make sense 
how a VE pump with low pressure would smoke more.   A good dose 
of cleaning like Stanadyne or such might free things up a bit.  Otherwise 
you could compensate by turning up the pressure relief as Hagar suggests,
turning down the fuel screw or having new vanes put in, possibly.
