[Vwdiesel] FOUND(??) Old Diesel-NEED advice please

Thanks everyone....some darn good advice from the guys that replied.
I just KNEW I would come back to the list.

Just got off the phone with my mechanic (brother in law) and he said the one
thing we
should do is stick a battery in it and see if she'll start.   I guess
everything after that
is elementary, providing the body isn't too far gone.  I thought my old
Jetta was in good shape
til they got it on the hoist.

Maybe later this week, or weekend I'll have a chance to stick a battery in
the best and jack it up a bit and look for rust.

Thanks again, And I will report my findings.
