[Vwdiesel] STARTED !.. an old diesel that sat 2 yrs

Congrats! You can count on the rear wheel cylinders leaking, and possibly the rear 
proportioning valve too. Change the brake fluid, and get new cylinders (cheap - about 
$10 cdn), and you might save the rest of the brakes if corrosion isn't too far gone. 
Rear shoes might be fouled by leaking fluid though.
Muffler should fit ok, although pipe over axle might be gone also - often is.
There was recall on the A2 heater core - I had mine replaced twice for free on my 
'85. It is a safety recall, so I don't think there is a time limit if it has not been done 
already, so it might pay to check with a dealer. (mine were done in the early 90s).
