I do hardwood floors for a living.  I am currently working on a floor where I 
am getting a very nice hot tub in exchange for some of the labor.  The hot 
tub is currently in a room that I will be installing wood flooring in next week. 
 Sunday before last I looked out into my yard and realized that I had three 
inoperable vehicles parked in the way of where the hot tub needs to be put.  I 
have a hill for a driveway.  Not a big hill, but big enough to have made it 
difficult to get them there.  The diesel camper was the one I wanted working the 
most, and probably the easiest to get working.  Just a simple engine swap.  
Piece of cake.  1.6 NA removal, 1.6TD installation.  I opted to install the TD 
sans turbo, temporarily of course, as there is an interference between the 
turbo wastegate and the driver's side motor mounting bracket.  Last week I worked 
8-9 hours swinging a BIG hammer (installing wood flooring), and then came 
home every evening and did another 3 hours on the van.  Sat. and Sun. I put in 
twelve each on the van.  Yesterday, I worked again on the floor for 8 hours, and 
then came home for three more.  Today I took off from flooring and worked on 
the van for 12 hours.  After that engine sat in my yard for 2 1/2 years, once 
I got it installed it started right up.  Quite impressive.  The engine is 
fairly clean.  All seals and gaskets are changed (except the head), and boy oh boy 
do I need that hot tub!!!  Next on the van will be the mount fabrication, 
intercooler, gauges, beer and relaxation.
