Loren; I'm surprised at your valve experiences...
For me its one of the highlights of engine rebuilding...
The sound othe 'zonk' when the valve is lowered back on its
seat during the process that can only be described as an
attempt to do the 'cave man' firelighting trick with two
pieces of wood.[ or is it Indian!]
Of course grinding may be neccessary to restore the narrow
band of seating; (as we all know gives better sealing and
less chance of valve burning... more lb per sq in seating
pressure isnt it?) Look for the thin grey line Andrew
