Did you compare the thickness of the old disk to a new one?
How much is an new one? US$30?

It has always been my belief that whenever I dropped a tranny, ALWAYS
replace clutch parts, the disk at a minimum. Wasteful... perhaps.

I would be afraid that exposure to rust may have altered the facing
material in some way, compromising its life or other characteristics.
