  Looks more like it's about twice that!  The quick look I took.

  I lean toward that approach as well.  I've never worn out a properly 
working clutch.  It's proably overkill but while you're there...  I believe 
I did take one back once because it was only a few thou thicker than 
the old one (after I got it out and could check it.)

  Unless it got soaked for a long peroid of time the disk should be fine.  
If the rivets are heavily rusted or the springs have any pitting then I'd 
seriously consider replacing it.  Otherwise it should be fine.
