Most of the smoke in north america is due to injectors and worn pumps. 
(IMHO).

  Most that I see is from throttle mashers.  Big black cloud every time they 
start out or shift, speaking of bus drivers mostly.  Then there's the cold 
start no timing retard equipped engines.  Seems that what I was told, 
no retard rather than advance.  Shrug.  Them big white clouds as the 
older trucks warm up.
