The I shaft bearings were changed. It had a nice tight feel to it as opposed
to what it was like before I took it in. I remember spinning it, messing
around with the engine before out of curiosity before I took it to him. Can
the I shaft be pulled while the engine is still in the car? If I can any
tricks to it and will I be able to see the bearings well enough with the
crank still in? Thanks for all the help. I'm paying the shop a visit today
with pistons in hand. I have spoken to several that have used this place and
they all speak highly of them. The engine was bored .020 over. Can a green
scrubby pad take the carbon off around the top of the cylinder? I could grab
some carbon remover from work. We use that on the engine bearings. :) With
only 5K on the engine do I need to go back over the cylinders with a hone?
Thanks for all your help.
Nick
