  Why not just leave it connected, rotate the cone so it doesn't belch smoke, 

set the spring perch up a bit so it doesn't even kick in until higher 
pressure 
then you have exactly what you have now except you only need to punch 
the throttle to activate the boost enrichment instead of getting out and 
physically reconnecting it?  The purpose of the thing in the first place 
is so that you can have clean, tuneable, extra power when needed 
without having to manually make changes.  Seems to me you could 
have what you're striving for as well as instant power without compromising 
anything but the quick rest stop.  ;-)

Loren   you are Hagers teacher for sure ----- BUT you are in a very interesting situation.

Sort of like a chess teacher teaching a little snott nosed kid by the name  "Bobby Fisher".

Cept this is a snott nosed geezer.   ------ take no offence.       --- so when I met my first
"Spaceship"  --LDA  ---and the Turbo . Back to the books and Loren and Mark Shepherd.

Now ?   --- I use the turbo   and the LDA with manual  on --off   on command. I do not have to get out.
or stop.   If  Bunny Bondo is starting up Jackass Mountain ?  ---engage LDA  ---and smoke it up
to the summitt. -------- Why MANUAL ?  control  --- because I could not find a way to do
it like Loren suggests. ----BUT I am still experimenting. .    Yes I have a 1.5 inch  boilergauge
in front of me  --letting me know when she is ready for more ---JUICE.   ---When she hits
about 5 psi   ---it is a good time to kick in the afterburner.
Ask the flyboys ---NOTHING is more wastefull than afterburner.  ----any smoke is waste.
yes more power but stil waste.   On Jackass ? I may choose to not use afterburner   ---
by simply shifting down  ----and enjoy the view. (daytime).

Just like the BOSCH  --VE pump ----the LDA warrants a real good detailed examination.

The  LDA is downright interesting ---get Mark Shepherd to explain.

PS :   the LDA will be covered in "Hillbilly Tuning". (is).   and in manual ?   yes you
can run at high pressure without extra fuel.  --- IT works.
