[Vwdiesel] Cam lobe wear?

Good thing I numbered them coming out! The followers are shiny with a few swirls, 
but no roughness, so I think I'll the lot as is. Should I try to flush old oil out of the 
lifters (hydraulic) & fill with new oil, or just leave them? They have been stored upside 
down in a plastic container for 8-10 months. Thanks
