[Vwdiesel] Is it weird oil pressure?

I can't see any way the turbo bearings could be at fault, especially
considering
thay you swapped turbos with no change. If turbo bearings are THAT sloppy,
the impeller would hit the housing. Same goes for if the turbo thrust washer

were worn much. A fair amount of oil does go through the turbo, I'd guess
about 1/3 of the flow but for it to change under gain in boost doesn't add
up.
If the pressure didn't come back up after reaching max boost then I'd say
maybe they were heavily grooved or such but then that'd suck the pressure
heavily at idle.
The Dasher has boost and pressure gauges and oil pressure was oil
pressure. It changed with rpm only but nothing related to boost. Now
if cylinder pressure was somehow getting into the head's oiling then
MAYBE the bubbles induced would drop the oil pressure to the gauge
until they passed through the lifters or cam bearings. Can't think of a
way it could do it from the manifold only though, other than through the
turbo seal but then oil consumption should be heavy. Same with
combustion chamber induced air. Very strange.
