[Vwdiesel] plastigage

I installed the pistons and new rings. Checked the main bearings and rod
bearings with plastigage and they all fell right in spec. Matter of fact
they were at the tight end of the limits. So knowing that for sure as well
as the I shaft is good and an oil pump that was new when I put it in the car
5k miles ago along with the head being completely rebuilt. If my oil
pressure is still low then it could be one thing and that is a stuck open
relief valve on the pump. Other than that I don't know what else to look at.
So it is just sit back and wait for my turbo to return so I can put the head
on and finish it up. 

 

Oh one thing, instead of the glow plug bus bar, can I just use 8gage house
wire for each one, or is that not big enough? I have some extra 8, 4 with
ground from when I wired my garage. Or should I find that size in a stranded
wire?  Do you antiseize the glow plugs?  Reason for asking is will that not
effect the ground connection to the head?
