Well I think I finally figured out my ( what I thought to be ) gelling 
problem.  I removed any traces of screen in the tank pickup, blew the line out and 
still no dice.  That was until I noticed a loose fitting wire on the fuel 
cut-off solenoid ....


  Coincidence.  One of the most annoying problems you can have when 
diagnosing a car!
