[Vwdiesel] Where's terminal 30?

Bentley mentions "terminal 30".  I don't know where
that is but I think I found the starter relay attached
to the top of the fuse box. It has a 30 and a 50
terminal. The 30 terminal at that relay is continuous
with the terminal 30 at the ignition switch and the
terminal 50 there is continuous to the solenoid
terminal 50.



  VW labels their circuits according to thier function or powered up status. 
I'd have to pull out a diagram to be accurate but the main power circuits 
are 15 30 and 50.  There is no "location" as it's  the state of power. 
Not in any order or even exactly these numbers but there's "always on" 
power, key position "on" power, "start" position power.  Then there's 
the "x" circuit which is a sub circuit of the "on" power but kicks out 
with the "x relay" or "power reduction relay."
  It's a matter of tracing the circuit back until you find power.  I can help 

guide you through the wiring diagram on pmail if you like.
