[Vwdiesel] Raceware studs

I am not a certified electrician. I am a certified avionics technician.
That being said the previous home we owned had a large (to me) den
(28x17) and I wanted two fans. I found two nice Hunter fans at Home
Depot that had a wireless remote. I wired them both to be hot all the
time off a circuit breaker then used the remotes to control them. I
don't see the particular one listed that we purchased but the wireless
unit can be added to almost any fan.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Raceware studs

Since I have to go back into mine, would putting the studs in be a good
thing to do or are the factory stretch bolts just as good and no need
for the Raceware studs? Is there really a larger percentage of less head
gasket failures using the studs? Or is it that the individuals that run
the studs just know when to stop the engine before the temp starts to
rise to the critical zone and so the head gaskets wouldn't be a problem
with normal stretch bolts.

Garage is almost done. Should have the windows and doors on with the
siding by the middle of next week. Now to get started on the wiring.
How does one wire two ceiling fans so that each switch runs each fan and
a switch runs each light? 12/3 with ground wire or would 14/3 work?????
Nick
