Indeed, as well as cranking speed. My 5000TD has been in weak shape
and mostly sitting for several years (gee about as many as I've had the
store!) Wouldn't start under 80F! Put a new LARGE, double eye cable
from the battery cable (which only bolted to a thin piece of sheet metal
on the inner fender from the factory) to the block. It'd start down into at
least the 60's after that. It has a couple bad injectors and maybe gp's
as well. Sometimes it'll start, miss and smoke profuse amounts of
white. Other times it'll start and run nicely. Injectors. Gotta finish
and paint it first, then the rebuild. Hope it turns out like the pu did
this time. :-) 2nd gear, kinda floored, bare, dry road and the tires
break loose at about 27mph! :-o :-) I'm sure the studs help with
breaking loose.
     Loren
