My father bought a bus new in '73.  The first muffler he had to put on it 
(salty roads in the NE, he chose a Midas lifetime warrantied muffler.  After two 
more, when the fellow came out he told my dad that "he would have to VOID the 
warranty now."  He didn't give a reason.  By then the van was on it's last 
legs and my dad didn't fuss.
