Do it Shalyn. Be sure to include the big Reed oil field engines. When I was
a kid friends had a hunting/play camp around Titusville PA out in the
middle of nowhere. In the woods were pumping stations (wooden sheds) with
the big hit-and-miss Reed engines connected to operating rods that ran all
different directions through the woods to the pump heads. The It was a cool
sound that is long gone. There was an old guy that walked around and
checked the stations every couple days but for the most part they just
banged away unattended. You could include a bottle of crude oil with the CD
to be sniffed while listening to the CD :)
Another childhood question which may include some diesel content. I had a
Cox engine Dune buggy that had a glow plug to get it fired. Were they
technically a 2-stroke Diesel? All these childhood memories. I'm going to
have to go home and fire up my mini-bike.
