[Vwdiesel] head gasket sealer?

Yeah. It DOES work... but on gas engines.
Lots of racers have a can of the stuff on hand in case they need a bandaid,
and it does work. There's one type for those running coolant, and one type
for those running water. Diesels have waaaay too much compression for it to
work however.

Hmmm. Block filler.
Hmmm....

I just found out the other day that most sprint cars use filled blocks and
just circulate the coolant through the heads. Prolly has a lot to do with
them being alcohol motors too, but that may have a diesel application after
all. I see a big whopper oil cooler, and the head being cooled with oil
circulation, like a rumely oil tractor.

sorry just "thinking out loud"...

Steel Seal's patented formula - used according to directions -
works with a vehicle's cooling system to seal blown head gaskets,
warped heads and cracked engine blocks and heads.

Cheapskate uncles of mine tried this or something similar when a
tractor had a blown head gasket. Told them it wouldn't work. It
didn't. Diesels don't tend to "sort of" blow a head gasket. By the
time you know it, it's GONE. I have a VERY hard time believing any
additive short of a block filler would stop it from leaking. ;-)
